About Me

My family and I moved to Bay Village seven years ago. We have a sixth grader who currently attends Bay Middle School, and a four year old soon to be kindergartner. We have come to love this district and this community, and I have a vested interest in the Bay Village Schools for many years to come.

In my professional life, I work in the IT Contracts, Finance, and Vendor Management office at Case Western Reserve University. In this role, I manage a multi-million dollar portfolio of vendor agreements. Much of my time is spent negotiating contracts on behalf of the university, with a focus on information and data security, data retention, risk mitigation, digital accessibility, and financial stewardship. As learning moves to rely more and more on digital means, my career experience is directly applicable to a role as board member.

As a community member, I'm proud to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Bay Village Education Foundation. The mission of the Bay Village Education Foundation (BVEF) is to support, promote and fund programs created by students, faculty and staff in the Bay Village Public Schools.  The programs encompass all areas of the public school curriculum and provide an opportunity to enhance enthusiasm for learning.

I believe in the intrinsic value of a quality public education for all, and the benefit to society as a whole. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve on the Citizens for Bay Village levy committee, in which we helped to successfully pass the most recent school levy that was on the ballot in 2022. Throughout the many discussions that emerged working on the levy campaign, I kept coming back to a common theme. The well-being and the success of our district is on us, and it's because of us. As a byproduct of the way that our community is constructed, we don't have the luxury of tax revenue from industry. We don't have any Fortune 500 headquarters that reside within our city limits. We have this really great thing going here that is the Bay Village Schools, and it's because of us, and because of you. It's because of the community engagement, the involvement of our parents, and the support network that's behind our kids. That's something that I'm proud of.

When I'm not volunteering in the areas described above, you'll likely find me on the baseball field where I serve as a Head Coach for the Bay Village Travel Baseball team. We're fortunate to have such a wonderful group of kids and families. I've learned over the years that these kids aren't just great with each other, they're great for each other. They're intelligent, hilarious, and they uplift each other in a myriad of ways. I'm fortunate to play a small part in developing these wonderful kids into great young men and leaders on and off the field.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about my candidacy, and I hope to earn your vote November 7th.
